More woolly business at the Wentworth House: Learn how to skirt a fleece!
It’s spring and shearing season – maybe you’ve had your eye on a fleece? You buy it and now what? Come to the Southeast New Hampshire Spinning Guild’s Wool Day at the Wentworth House and learn how it’s done.
From 10 am to noon, Jenny Smith of Underhill Fibers will demonstrate skirting a fleece. Bring your fleece and learn how to get the most bang for your buck (and maybe even get some one on one help with skirting your fleece). Fleeces will also be available for sale.

TIME : 10 am – 4 pm, rain or shine!
Wool Day will also feature an educational display on the creepy crawlers we don’t want to see in wool, a free and used equipment area, and a raffle. There will be a spinning circle all day so be sure to bring your lunch, a chair, and your wheel or spindle so you can enjoy the company of fellow spinners!
