Rollinsford’s historic Colonel Paul Wentworth House will open for the summer with a bang with an encampment by His Majesty’s Royal Regiment of Artillery!
Revolutionary War re-enactors portraying the officers and crew of the 7th Company, 3rd Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Artillery will display the weapons, equipment and uniforms from this vital corps from General Burgoyne’s army of 1777.
SATURDAY: June 1 from 10:00–4:00
SUNDAY: June 2 from 10:00–3:00
Cannon & Musket Drills
Throughout the day, the unit will present demonstrations of their bronze 3-pounder artillery piece, including how these light artillery cannons were fired and moved through any terrain, along with musket drills and other aspects of British military life. Cannon and musket drills and firings will take place on the hour, starting at 11 am.
Inside the House
Inside the Wentworth House, visitors can view demonstrations of hearth cooking, displays of military equipment and uniforms, and other aspects of 18th century life.
Admission is $5 for adults, and free for children and ARCH members.
