The British Royal Artillery of 1777 comes to the Wentworth House!
Join us for a day of living history with Revolutionary War reenactors portraying members of His Majesty’s Royal Regiment of Artillery as they display the weapons, equipment and uniforms of this vital corps from General Burgoyne’s Army of 1777.
Military drills and demonstrations with their two bronze 3-pounder artillery pieces and muskets will take place throughout the day (check for posted schedule). While inside explore the historic Wentworth House and see the men and their camp followers cook rations and Colonial fare on the hearth, along with displays and information on the Loyalist American volunteers who fought alongside them in Burgoyne’s Army.
This event is hosted by ARCH and the 3rd New Hampshire Regiment / Royal Artillery.
