Introduction to Wool Appliqué: Make a Pin Pillow

March 15 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Introduction to Wool Applique at the Wentworth House

Wool appliqué was widely popular in 19th century America when thrifty women used woolen scraps and simple stitches to craft “penny rugs,” table mats, pillow covers and other sturdy yet decorative items for the home.

This traditional craft is enjoying a resurgence of popularity today. Primitive patterns in bright colors are common, but wool appliqué also lends itself equally well to modern designs and has the added benefit of being a highly portable craft.
