Wool Day at the Wentworth House

It’s spring and shearing season!
You have an eye on a fleece, you buy it, and now what? Bring your fleece to see how it’s done. Come join the Southeast New Hampshire Spinning Guild for this free education day. Learn how to “skirt” your fleece. See a demonstration and then if you would like, get one-on-one help skirting your own fleece.
Fiber Alchemy will be on site with scouring products and fleeces will be available for sale. Bring your lunch, beverages, and a chair!

Noon: Scouring fleece in small spaces
Julie Janvrin will demonstrate her method and it’s ingenious
1–3: Skirting a raw fleece
Shetland fleece from Lonach Farm in Milton, NH- Plinio Silva
2–3: Hand carding washed fleece
Join Donna Kay, of Tree of Life Designs in the spinning circle for a demonstration
Spinning Circle from 10am to 4pm
