May 24: Salmon Falls Village Walking Tour with Peter Michaud

You will be AMAZED at the history that can be learned on a walking tour of Salmon Falls Village!

The tour will be led by architectural historian Peter Michaud and is free to members of ARCH and the Piscataqua Decorative Arts Society. We will start at the Col. Paul Wentworth House on Water Street in Rollinsford. Comfortable walking shoes and dressing for the weather are strongly encouraged.

Participants will visit the village of the Salmon Falls Manufacturing Company and explore its mill yard, related workers housing, and its religious and commercial buildings. The tour will explore the history and development of the village, how the mills functioned, and the communities of immigrants employed by the company.
