JULY 25 & 26: Military Encampment

Historical re-enactors portraying 17th and 18th century colonial militia members will be encamped at the Colonel Paul Wentworth House.

Four separate camp sites will present four different militia groups dating from the earliest years of English settlement through the American Revolution and will showcase the different weapons, equipment, and tactics of each era:

  • The Piscataqua Company (1625-1645)
  • Benjamin Church’s Company (1675-1710)
  • Harmon’s Company (1748-1760)
  • Jeremiah Eames’ Rangers (1775-1780)

Visitors to the encampment are asked to wear masks and observe safe social distancing. As this is an outdoor event, in the event of inclement weather the event will unfortunately be canceled.

SATURDAY: July 25 from 12:00 to 4:00
SUNDAY: July 26 from 10:00 to 1:00
