Make an Early American raised pie!
What’s more American than apple pie? In colonial America, pies were often made in a standing or raised crust, also called a “coffin.” In this workshop, learn how to make an early American raised pie with hearth cooking expert Kathleen Curtin (formerly with Plimoth Plantation). Kathleen will demonstrate how to make a raised crust pie, and participants will make their own small apple pie to take and bake at home.
Workshop fee of $15 ($10 for ARCH members) covers all needed supplies. Space is limited; to register, send an email to paulwentworthhouse@gmail.com no later than February 10.
